You can make a sale within 15 minutes or it could take months. As others have said, it really depends on what you are selling (and for us, sales is also seasonal). We sell items used by students. Even though we started selling in May (not at the beginning of a semester) we got our first sale within about 2-3 days.
How do Beginners sell on Amazon?

Is it cheaper to sell on Amazon or eBay?
